This delightful stone cottage was built by Benjamin Bowyer from stone carried from the common in a crude wheelbarrow by his wife Mary Anne. No. 1 has been restored with care to retain its historic atmosphere and character while offering modern comforts. The wharf, beach, restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance. The cottage contains 3 bedrooms, sitting room and large kitchen and is supplied with quality linen and supplies for continental breakfast. Features that add to the cosy atmosphere and charm of No. 1 include the open fire and French doors to a private sheltered garden.
