In winter 14 lifts operate across 480ha of rideable terrain. One chairlift operates throughout the year; its top station, with its panoramic views of the mountain range, is the starting point for many walking and ski trails. The village is fully serviced year round. Established in 1955. In 1987 Thredbo was acquired by Amalgamated Holdings. The company have developed the facilities for both summer and winter, including the construction of The Thredbo Leisure Centre, a PGA recognized Golf Course and the Friday Flat beginners area. .
